"Avatar" by James Cameron

"Avatar".. New James Cameron movie.. I was blown away.

Transition between animation & actual shots was super smooth and not only that but on the point of many technical factors, he pushed movie of 21 century to the next level.

The scale of movie is crazy huge, that is so James Cameron's vision is huge.

This time, I didn't watch with iMac-3D (!!), so i will bring myself back to iMax theater 1 more time for another movie experience.

Either you like it or not, you need to watch this movie as being /experiencing new technology of cinema.

James Cameron監督の新作映画、"Avatar"をみる！

久しぶりにちょっと違うレベルでやられた映画。。

special effect.. アニメーションと、リアルな映像が、限りなくsmoothに交わり合って、やば〜、やば〜〜！とやられまくり。

映画に登場する、pandoraに生息する、恐竜みたいな野性の動物達のデザインやそのdetailも半端でない。software開発だけに２年余裕で費やした、とやら。。。

　彼のvisionは、恐ろしく規模が大きくて、それを実現するに、恐ろしく莫大な＄＄を動かして、perfectに近づける。結果cinemaを新しいレベルにpushしまくり、何って、それをやりのけてしまえる　James cameron。怪物！（良い意味で）

好き、嫌いは別として、この新しい映画技術の進歩を、on timeで体感する、という意味で、この映画は、絶対に銀幕でみなくちゃいかん映画だと思います。

クリスマス直前のショッピングでわさわさした空気が流れる場所がありつつも、familyとクリスマスを過ごすに帰郷している感の静けさで、普段味わえないLA。。

天気よく、１２月２４日に半袖。。これだからLAはやめられない。。

最高の友達と、楽しい撮影。

写真が自分に近づいてきている。楽しくてしょうがない。。

来年も撮っていきます！

Surprise gift from Push!

It's VOX, artist series, super talented artist, Push's from 7th letter Crew.

I started photo documenting him from last month and getting bunch of great images from it.

He had finished huge mural piece inside of new Hurley/converse/Nike SB store in Irvine Spectrum shopping mall that I'd been photo documenting. We decided to meet at this store today, him doing a bit of touch-up, me, taking final photograph.

Then he surprised me with this gift!

7th letter crewの　やばいartist, PUSHデザインのVOX Shoes!!

１１月から、PUSHの photo document projectが始まっている。

始めてから、すぐに、Irvineにある,大きい屋外モールの Hurley / Converse / Nike SB　の新しいショップ内での Mural paintが始まった。

私の家から　渋滞なしで１時間ドライブ。（＝渋滞の時間帯にいっちゃったら、、２時間余裕。。）

毎晩、夜ドライブして、photo document.. 朝帰り、を１週間以上。。最初壁がなく、天井に穴があいてたせいで、屋外の気温＆薄着コンボで、体調を崩しつつも、最後の日は、最後の最後まで見届け。。やばい過程を、撮り遂げた、そのMuralを、Touch-upにいく、というPushにあわせて、最終出来上がりの写真を撮りに、irvineまでdrive down.. 　びっくり！クリスマスギフトをもらってしまった！　yahoo~!

Pushのピース、ぶっとんでます！　やばいです。

Retna & Mac's exhibition @ Robert Berman Gallery had closing party. That was also the day of releasing "Catalog" from this show.

Usually 'Catalog' exhibit photographs of artist's pieces.

I heard there's many discussion about "What's the Zine?" in Japan.

My friend, amazing artist, Kenton Parker told me today that "you have to give it to the people, then it'll become Zine".. I like that.

Well let's see. this is one & only copy in the world, still need to be stapled.

I need to make more to give copies to friends to make it as "zine". ^.^

It's about kids who try to go to the U.S. from all the way from Central America, looking for a new life.. riding "on" train and have dangerous trip. They're like 13 years old.. Another Crazy reality right there..

central americaの貧しい村から、新たな人生のスタートの夢を求めて、色々な危険が伴い、「beast」（猛獣）というあだ名で呼ばれる、貨物列車の上（主に屋根の上）にのって、mexicoに入国、そしてAmericaへの違法侵入をこころみる、若干１３歳前後の子供達の旅を追ったdocumentary..

　友だちとレスリングをして遊んだり、次の列車を待つ間、公園の滑り台で遊んだりする彼等は、そこらへんにいる無邪気な子供でしかない。彼等を強烈にアメリカにかき立てる理由は、それぞれだが、どの子達も、アメリカに多大な夢を持って、ただひたすら旅を続ける。が、mexicoで腐敗した警官に根こそぎ有り金を奪われたり、同じく不法入国を試みて旅をしている大人が、トンネル通過時に誤って死ぬのを目の辺りにしたり、rape現場をみたり。。と、１３歳という年齢にはあまりにも残酷すぎる、が「beast」のrealityが次々をやってくる。

　其れと同時に、同じように夢を持って、アメリカに向かった子供を亡くした家族もfeatureしつつ、簡単には解決できないtuffなrealityをすこぶる素晴らしいバランスで描いている。
